Looks like the Facebook marketplace was opened today and it is certainly seeing a lot of ads already. When I first got up this morning about 12 hours ago I noticed a nice new link for the new classifieds for Facebook. In my network there were only two ads but already (only 12 short hours later) there are well over 100 ads and more coming in by the minute. Looks like the guys at Facebook made a good decision on getting this new service added to the already extremely popualr Facebook.

Now….what can I sell?

Looks like something else is coming down the pipe as well. Facebook is partnering with Oodle Classifieds to offer classified ads on Facebook. Soon Facebook users will be able to search for jobs, sell off their unwanted items, look for roommates or whatever else they desire.

It apparently is also going to be set up to allow users to only allow their friends to see their classified or the entire community. Looks and sounds promising. We’ll keep you updated!
